Sunday Jaime and Thomas came to Indianapolis for portraits. Their baby is due the beginning of July, and she wanted photos of her while very pregnant. We went down to the canal and and settings were abundant. The only problem was the sun! And since I don't have much equipment or an assistant (Ha!), it was tricky.
As I was researching pregnant photography, I felt that most of the images were all the same. So the ones that caught my attention were the ones I was interested in recreating. So I was stoked that she has a huge tattoo on her side, although she was concerned about it being unfinished.
I also wanted a strange perspective, and I love The Cat in The Hat!
And another recreation I tried and loved the outcome was the perspective from below, looking up at the sun.
So go check out the rest of the photos! Hope you enjoy and I love your feedback!!

Sisters
Jamie has been helping me out by modeling for photo projects for several years now. She has been a good friend since we first met seven years ago while working together at Hard Rock Cafe. She is moving to Charleston, SC next month and her mom wanted some photos of Jamie with her sister, Carrie, before she left. So we made that happen.
Jamie and I started by having brunch at Cafe Patachou downtown, followed by a mimosa at Champps before Carrie joined us at the gardens at the zoo.
We knew we had to hurry because there was rain heading our way. Even when it started to sprinkle, we continued to shoot. We walked over to White River while it passed and finished the shoot. It is always a good sign when I am feeling really good afterwards.
Good luck in Charleston, Jamie!
